Greece

Shadowed shutters by the sea
Myths of blood and honour, the spirits of land and sea
Float  though the islands
The hills of rocks and olives
By the calm water of a sea
I don’t know this light
These white crosses above the domed roofs
The church stands alone on a desert island
So seduced that I cannot turn back to Africa.
